My first pocket knife as a kid was one of my Dad's hand-me-down Barlows, and the Barlow pattern has always been a favorite. Here's a Case from sometime between 1940 & 1964, according to the tang stamp. I got it at a flea market for a couple bucks, cleaned it up, and it still has plenty of life left in it.

Another of my favorite traditional patterns is the stockman. I bought this one in a truck stop in 1970. It's an Uncle Henry, and was made by Schrade Cutlery in NY state. I think I paid about $15 for it & remember thinking that I hope my wife doesn't find out what it cost. That was a lot of money at the time.Smile
