I have an Estwing. Nice hatchet. For mass-produced commonly available, it’s well balanced and decent steel.

I worked doing custom concrete off and on for years. Estwing hammers were the only hammers we ever used. Besides the intended use, beating the shank into steel forming stakes to loosten them out of stubborn hard ground. Never once broke one no matter how hard I hit the stake.
   I still have 2 of different sizes 20+ years later and wouldn't hesitate to do the same thing again.
   Quality, meant to last. I figure all their products are probably just as tough.
