A few years ago, I would have looked right over a knife like that...but now I am always looking!

You’re a good person to save that knife from an eternity of making peanut butter sandwiches and opening Amazon boxes.

Not quite as low priced but a bargain nonethless........Try an Ebay search on vintage soligen (German) knives or Vintage jernbolaget (Swedish) or vintage sheffield (England) and there's alot of really nice vintage knives seriously underpriced for what they are if you take a little time to reserch them and don't take notice of some listings where they think they have "struck gold" just because the knife is old.
I have purchased quite a few really nice knives and cutlery etc. just by opening another window and doing a little research on the side while looking at a listing.
20 or 30 bucks for a quality knife is a good deal in my world.
Stag handles, bone handles etc. and usually better quality than one can get now because of availability, regulations etc. now. For instance Sambar Stag is either not available or just too expensive now but was common in the past. I have noticed that exotic wooden handles/scales are often better quaity than what's available today.
Just food for thought....................
