I'm Addicted To Knife Collecting! -

Well, I just ordered another knife that I just couldn't live without! I'm officially addicted to knives and there is no cure! I don't even have a favorite knife brand or style...I seem to like them all! Budget blades, mid tier, high end...yes please!! Last night, I ordered a new Demko AD20.5 with black G10 scales. Beautiful knife but part of the fun for me is finding great deals on genuine knives! So I prowl the internet looking for those must have deals and last minute discounts until I find what I have been looking for! I'm telling you, it is a sickness but can something that brings you this much joy be that bad? Plus, like I tell my wife..."Hey, it's a cheaper hobby than gun collecting! (Barely...LOL!)"

Nice! Those Demcos are very popular on another knife forum, and I've been looking at them for months. They're well made & always get good reviews. The only thing that keeps me from ordering one is I don't need another heavy duty knife. I already have several ZTs, Chris Reeves, and Hinderers that cover that department pretty well.

Yea I was semi addicted on old mausers until my wife seemed to start being concerned about how much money I was spending on them.
I still don't have all the ones I want but have the ones I wanted the most.
Now it's knives and so far no raised eyebrows. I hunt the internet for vintage knives that the sellers don't know what they have. I know some might think that's not cool but there's a ton of people trying to pass off fakes as well so.............
Sometimes I find modern nice knives in estate sale lots where the price of the whole lot is still giving me a good deal on the one knife I want.
I'm retired and have the time and I don't waste internet time on games etc.
Example.....Cold Steel Tai Pan San Mai for $140.00 including shipping. It's not a fake and while not the best deal I have found, I still saved $50 to $75 dollars before shipping cost.
Cheaper than guns but I tend to spend quite a bit on accessories and whatnot until I get the evil eye from my wife that is LOL!

I have bought a lot of knives lately but it's time to settle down and just buy the higher grade items that I want instead of a bunch of mid grades! I still don't think I would ever spring for a Chris Reeves Sebenza but I do really want a Spartan Harsey Folder! Maybe someday!
