My edc -

My last knife was a kizer activ bantam and I really liked it. Unfortunately I broke my never use a knife as a pry bar rule and snapped the tip off. I intended to reshape it but then I used it to get rid of some unused wire in my freightliner. There's another rule, only cut one wire at a time. Bzzap! Now it also has a pretty good divot burnt into the blade.
I attempted to buy another one and it was discontinued. I ended up with a zero tolerance knife with a 4" blade. It's a touch large for a pocket knife but I'm getting used to it.
After looking at bladehq's steel characteristics page I gave s35vn a try with the kizer and decided I like that steel, so my zero tolerance is made with the same steel. I don't like tiny knives as I find them difficult to use with my big hands, so 3-4" is about right for me.
Hopefully, I'll not have a brain fart and abuse this one so it'll outlast me and my grandchildren. Unless you work in a packing house it's nearly impossible to wear a knife out.

This Spyderco Endura has been my EDC since I bought it in the early 90s.
I’ve never seen any need to replace it.

My true EDC is a Victorinox Classic SD, the ubiquitous little red knife that belongs in every pocket. At school I carry a variety of bladeless and TSA-approved multi-tools. I could probably get away with a 1.25” blade as a teacher, but I don’t wish to raise any eyebrows, you know?

I find myself carrying a Victorinox Hiker SAK everyday. I'll carry other blades in addition, but I always have my SAk on me!
