[KnifeNews] Multifunctional Pragma on Deck from Civivi

There’s an interesting EDC knife on the way from the busy folks at Civivi. The Pragma offers users a compact blade, button lock deployment, and a couple of bonus features for good measure. The Pragma does not really qualify as a multitool; rather, think of it as a knife first and foremost, seasoned with some […]

Looking through Dad’s knife collection. I gave him this knife when I was in Jr High. Saved up and bought it at Sears Roebuck. I have two others- a Buck and a Remington. I’ve never known how to use them.

I know the PRINCIPLE. They’re used by British game keepers where gentlemen stand about in tweed jackets with Purdy 16 ga side-by-sides, waiting for the beaters to flush more pheasants, and saying things like, “I say, lads, I should like to shoot another. Put some more up, won’t you? My fowling piece has gone a bit cold, I’m afraid…” And the gamekeeper will most likely let the birds hang whole in the shed for 2 or 3 days before cleaning them. So, he uses the hook to remove the intestines so the meat can ‘age’ without ‘spoiling’.

I just don’t know how to do it right- as I’m not a tweed-jacketed gentleman

[KnifeNews] Matthew Gentry Brings Pocket Muk Model to Boker Collab

Michigan-based customer maker Matthew Gentry has just seen his first production collaboration drop, courtesy of Boker. The Boker Plus M.U.K. delivers a compact riff on what is perhaps the most famous outdoors knife ever made. It’s right there in the name: the M.U.K. is a new take on the Nessmuk, a fixed blade designed by […]

[KnifeNews] Ostap Hel Does Fixed Blade Hat Trick with the Real Steel Dex

We covered the Astral, we covered the Texo, but Ostap Hel has yet another new fixed blade design on the way, once again courtesy of Real Steel. The Dex, as this one’s called, differs from its two siblings both in design and intended use. The Astral was a full-on tactical knife, and the Texo landed […]

Well I got that other Arno Bernard knife on a trade deal and I couldn't resist bidding on this one (I won).
It's an Arno Bernard as well but is a little Bird and trout knife with some excellent multicolored scrimshaw on it. I don't know if Arno or somebody else did the scrimshaw but it's very nice scrimshaw and uses part of the natural color varience of the warthog tusk scale as part of the theme.
It's got a tapered tang like my other one and is impeccable in the fit and finish like all the other ones I've seen.
I can't wait to use it on trout or a couple of the many quail that frequent out property if I can get the idea past my wife that is............. After all they are "Her quail"

I just got a new Demko Shark Cub 2.0 from the Demko early bird sale!  They don't officially released until Sept 9th, 2024!  This knife really surprised me for a small size and a price tag under $100!  It hits way above it's price range!
